Investments in consumer, media, entertainment and sports (CMES)

Representative transactions include:

Capri Palace Hotel & Spa (acquired): Centricus acquired the iconic Capri Palace Hotel & Spa. This acquisition is Centricus' first in the luxury hotel and hospitality space. The 5-star-hotel, located in Anacapri, features 68 guest rooms and is home to Capri’s only two Michelin-starred restaurants, L'Olivo and Il Riccio.

Tamara Mellon (strategic investment): Centricus led the $50 million Series C funding round for Tamara Mellon, one of the leading direct-to-consumer luxury fashion brands for women. Tamara Mellon is a British fashion entrepreneur who co-founded Jimmy Choo, a luxury footwear brand. Her namesake brand, was founded in 2016 alongside Jill Layfield, Tania Spinelli, and Tamara Mellon. The brand eliminates the 6x retail mark-up by going direct-to-consumer, ignores the fashion calendar with weekly product drops, and is committed to a women-first, customer-centric model.

Spring Place (strategic investment): In 2019, Centricus completed a strategic investment in Spring Place, the luxury and creative co-working company. Spring Place is a collaborative work-space and membership club connecting work, leisure, and entertainment for the community of global professionals and entrepreneurs in the business of shaping contemporary culture.
